“Today, the head of the Kharkiv region signed a letter on five more hospital institutions that are not under the jurisdiction of the Kharkiv City Council or the Regional Council. These are hospitals that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Health. The total number of beds can be quite large – under COVID, I think there can be between 700 and 800 beds, “Pastukh said.
In addition, the vice president of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration said that within three days an additional hospital, the Izyum Central City Hospital, will be opened to receive coronavirus patients. It is also planned to increase the number of beds in those medical institutions that already accept patients. Work continues to provide equipment and oxygen to hospitals.
“Amendments to the regional budget have already been prepared for the session to be held on October 15, on the allocation of additional funds for the purchase of oxygen concentrates and ventilators. Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers is also considering a resolution in which Additional funds should be allocated to each region for the supply of oxygen and the purchase of ventilators. In the coming days, the funds will be transferred to the region, “said Taras Pastukh.
