Health Minister Maxim Stepanov explained how private laboratories will participate in free tests for COVID-19. The Cabinet of Ministers previously adopted a relevant resolution.

He spoke about this during the briefing.

Stepanov said that the Health Ministry will contract through state laboratory centers the capacities of private laboratories to carry out tests. That is, a mobile team or a hospital picking up a person will transfer the samples to private laboratories. The latter will carry out the tests himself in the appropriate laboratory equipment.

“How is this going to happen? This does not mean that now private laboratories will start doing these tests on people on the street. We just won’t be able to control this … We will involve private laboratories, we will contract them and we will bring them samples to perform. evidence, ”said the minister.

We recall, yesterday it became known that Ukrainians will be able to test for COVID-19 for free in private laboratories, because the Cabinet of Ministers allocated funds for this.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, previously the head of government Denis Shmygal said that Ukraine would increase the daily amount of tests for the coronavirus.

To date, Ukraine has completed more than 30 thousand tests daily.
