Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said on October 8 that more than 20,000 patients with coronavirus infection are in hospitals.
In Ukraine, 990 people with coronavirus infection were hospitalized in the last day. This was stated in a briefing on October 10 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov. The press conference was broadcast on the government’s YouTube channel.
“990 people were hospitalized, and this is the highest number of hospitalizations during the entire epidemic,” he stressed.
On October 8, Stepanov said that more than 20,000 coronavirus patients are being treated in Ukrainian hospitals.
An outbreak of coronavirus infection began in late 2019 in China. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a pandemic.
As of October 10, there were 36.88 million cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in the world, according to Johns Hopkins University. The total number of victims of the pandemic reached 1.07 million and 25.66 million people have already recovered.
In Ukraine, more than 256 thousand people were infected with the coronavirus, of which 4,887 people died, 112,570 recovered.
