Ukraine will be obliged to buy a Russian coronavirus vaccine if it is proven effective. This was stated by the popular deputy of the faction. Servant of the people Alexander Kachura on the air of the television channel Newsone on Friday, October 9.
According to the politician, in the context of the coronavirus epidemic, whose number of cases is increasing at a record rate, the health of citizens must come first.
“If the Russian vaccine proves its effectiveness, there are adequate recommendations, we will be forced to buy, I think,” said the politician.

However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Medvedchuk’s remarks “pre-election initiatives by certain cynics” and the Russian vaccine “an unproven remedy.”
