Ukraine’s exports for three quarters fell by 9%
The share of EU countries in Ukraine’s exports decreased by 16%, while their imports to Ukraine decreased by almost 9%.
The export of goods from Ukraine to the EU countries in January-September 2020 decreased by 16%, to $ 13.066 billion. The share of EU countries in Ukraine’s exports fell to 37% from 41% at the end of 2019. This is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service on Friday, October 9.
It is also indicated that imports to Ukraine from EU countries in the first nine months of 2020 decreased by 8.75%, to $ 16,640 million. The share of EU countries increased to 44% from 42% at the end of 2019.
Trade with the CIS countries also fell. In exports, the CIS share decreased to 12% from 14% at the end of 2019, in imports – to 16% from 20%.
At the same time, the share of other countries in the world increased: in exports to 51% from 45%, in imports to 40% from 38% at the end of 2019.
It was previously reported that in the three quarters of 2020, Ukraine earned $ 73 billion, having decreased by $ 7 billion. This is 9% less than in the same period last year ($ 80,822 million).
In turn, Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka said that at the end of September, Ukraine’s exports returned to pre-crisis levels.
