NBU sets official exchange rates for Monday

The official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia has been declining for the fourth day in a row after a long rise.

On Monday, October 12, the National Bank of Ukraine strengthened the hryvnia by more than 7 kopecks against the dollar and by almost 1 kopeck against the euro. This is evidenced by the data on the NBU website on Friday, October 9.

The National Bank has established the official exchange rates at the following level:

– 100 USD – 2,820.98 UAH (-0.0738 UAH)

– 100 euros – 3,327.91 hryvnia (-0,0008 UAH).

Therefore, the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia is declining for the fourth day in a row after long growth. For the past three days, the National Bank has been strengthening the official hryvnia exchange rate to the same level: 4 kopecks each.

In the interbank foreign exchange market, the exchange rate of the dollar for sale increased by 2 kopecks to 28.25 hryvnia per dollar, the exchange rate on the purchase also fell by 2 kopecks, to 28.23 hryvnia per dollar. The exchange rate of the euro for sale rose 20 kopecks at a time, to 33.35 hryvnias per euro.

Earlier on Friday, it became known that the National Bank has stopped supporting the hryvnia. During the working week of October 5 to 9, the regulator reduced the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market six times, to $ 8.7 million.

It was also reported that the exchange deficit in the interbank market was cut in half.
