Russia is ready to mimic the German and French sanctions for the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Russia sees no evidence that Navalny was actually poisoned.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, on the air of the television channel Dozhd.

“Sanctions, restrictive measures, arrest lists always lead to one thing in international relations: retaliatory measures,” he emphasized.

Zakharova claims that the West is allegedly using the situation with the Navalny poisoning as an excuse to impose the next anti-Russian sanctions instead of investigating the situation.

Recall, yesterday the French Foreign Ministry announced the preparation of sanctions against Russia for the poisoning of Navalny. Berlin and Paris prepare sanctions. The imposition of sanctions against Russia has already been supported in Britain and the Netherlands.

According to German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, Berlin will impose sanctions for the Navalny poisoning based on the conclusion of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Furthermore, the French edition of Le Monde revealed details of new anti-Russian sanctions for the Navalny poisoning.
