During the past day, 5397 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection were confirmed in Ukraine, the total number reached 244 734. This is evidenced by data from the monitoring system of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, published on 8 October.
The number of victims of the disease has reached 4,690, 93 patients have died in the last 24 hours. These figures are the highest since the beginning of the epidemic in the country. The previous record for incidence was recorded the day before – 4,753 COVID-19 cases were confirmed on October 6, the highest number of deaths the day before was recorded on October 3, when 92 patients died.
108 233 patients have already recovered from COVID-19 (+ 2263 in the last day), they continue to get sick 131,811 Ukrainians.
