Today, October 7, a great emergency occurred in Russia. In the Ryazan region, three hundred kilometers from Moscow, a warehouse with ammunition exploded.
The situation in the region has been tense since the afternoon. The explosions don’t stop, and judging from the video of the scene, they’re on a very large scale. People and houses were damaged. The population was evacuated.
The rescue forces participated in the extinction of the warehouse, as well as the military equipment, including aviation. The Minister of Emergency Situations and the Vice Minister of Defense flew to the scene of the emergency

Explosions in Ryazan: what happened, reasons, victims, video
The Moscow region borders Ryazan (highlighted in red on the map) in the southeast.
At approximately 1:00 p.m. local time, a fire broke out at a munitions depot, which is located in a forest near the villages of Zheltukhino and Shelemishevo (military unit N55443-RK is also stationed here).
According to rescuers, the grass initially caught fire in the warehouse territory. There are 113 tanks with missiles and artillery. Due to the wind, the fire moved to the site with weapons. The firefighters began to eliminate it, but could not do anything: a detonation occurred.
During the day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations managed to evacuate the residents of 14 villages, which are within a radius of five kilometers from the warehouse, a total of about 2,300 people. The gas supply is completely cut off there.
At the same time, residents of the Ryazan region report that the explosions can be heard even 25 kilometers away. For citizens, car traffic on the R-22 “Caspian” highway is blocked.
At the scene of the emergency, the Deputy Minister of Defense, Dmitry Bulgakov, and the Minister of Emergencies, Yevgeny Zinichev, were poisoned. In addition to the rescuers, about two hundred military personnel, four dozen crews, four Il-76 helicopters and three Mi-8s are extinguishing the fire.
It was immediately reported that there were no victims. As time passed, information appeared that there were injuries. According to the latest data, six people were injured by the explosion and fire, one is in serious condition. Who these people are (local residents or warehouse workers) has not yet been specified.

The third video was shot closer. In it, you can see that the flame is much higher than that of evergreen trees. The applause is incessant.
Even closer, you can see that literally the entire area is covered in smoke.
There are also images taken from the plane. In them you can see that a large part of the forest has been burned and continues to burn.
Reporters took brief comments from local residents who were evacuated. The woman says her five-story building “was the first to emerge.” “When we left the entrance, everything was covered in glass. People were walking around in blood,” she says and cries.
According to the latest news from the place, the intensity of the explosions is now on average once every ten minutes, but the fire has not yet been completely eliminated.
