The Armenian prime minister says the Karabakh conflict has gone beyond the regional framework. The President of Azerbaijan believes that the conflict did not even enter the territory of Armenia.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claims that the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh has gone beyond the regional framework. While Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev says that the conflict does not even enter the territory of Armenia, writes TASS on Wednesday, October 7.
“The situation has already gone beyond the regional framework, I mean the region of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh,” Pashinyan said on Russian television.
To resolve the conflict, compromises from both sides are needed, he said.
In turn, Aliyev said that “the conflict must not go beyond the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.” At the same time, he added that the conflict does not even reach the territory of Armenia.
“Despite the bombardment from the Armenian territory, we do not make any attacks on the territory of Armenia, we do not cross the territory of Armenia, although there are all opportunities for this,” he said.
According to Aliyev, Armenia is trying to involve CSTO and European countries in the Karabakh conflict.
He noted that Baku is ready to resume negotiations after the end of the military confrontation phase.
