The Armenian armed forces tried to fire on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. The rocket attacks were launched on the night of October 6.

This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan.

Then, according to the data, in the Yevlakh region around 9:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m. Kiev time) there was a blow to a section of the gas pipeline.

The Attorney General’s Office highlighted that the pipeline is the largest strategic facility in the region, and also occupies “a special place in Europe’s energy security.”

They added that the “terrorist attack” was prevented by the actions of the Azerbaijani army.

The press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Shushan Stepanyan, denied Baku’s statement on Facebook, calling it a “blatant lie”.

“We have repeatedly stated that we are not targeting oil and gas infrastructures, however, regardless of the location, all those military facilities and targets from which Karabakh is fired on will be destroyed,” he wrote.

Earlier, Armenia announced the offensive of Azerbaijan in the southern direction of Karabakh. Azerbaijan reported on shelling by Armenian troops in three regions outside the region.

It was also reported that Azerbaijan is willing to provide humanitarian corridors for Armenians.

Let us remember that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, demanded international guarantees for the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Nagorno Karabakh.
