More than 1.3 thousand people and 284 teams are involved in extinguishing fires
Only one outbreak remains located, near the village of Gavrilovka in an area of 150 hectares, the State Emergency Service said.
On Tuesday night, firefighters extinguished one of the largest fires in the Lugansk region, near the town of Smolyaninovo. This was reported by the State Emergency Service on October 6.
“One of the largest outbreaks near the village of Smolyaninovo, Novoaydarsky district, was liquidated today, October 6, around 17:00 in an area of 4,491 hectares,” the message says.
The department indicated that nine out of ten cells were killed in this way, one outbreak was located.
“The outbreak remains located near the town of Gavrilovka in an area of 150 hectares,” said the State Emergency Service.
Earlier it was learned that the fires in the Lugansk region covered more than 20 thousand hectares. Aviation and a fire engine were involved in putting out the fires. In total, more than 1.3 thousand people and 284 teams participated in the extinction. The fires killed 11 people and injured 19 others.
