The Russian Federation must prepare to ease sanctions against Ukraine. At the same time, one cannot speak of exceptions at the moment.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a meeting with the Ukrainian people’s deputy of the “Opposition Platform – For Life”, Viktor Medvedchuk.
Putin noted that Russia is only imposing retaliatory sanctions.
“Regarding the states that have taken certain measures against Russia … It hurts my heart that people in Ukraine who worked in companies focused on selling products in Russia were in a difficult situation,” he said.
According to him, Moscow is prepared for the situation to change and “everything is in motion”.
“But we cannot make any exceptions from the list of countries that have imposed sanctions on us. However, we still have to prepare for this. I hope that one day this will happen anyway,” Putin added.
We will recall, in September, Russia expanded personal sanctions against Ukraine, the list included the fifth president Petro Poroshenko, former people’s deputy Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and other politicians.
RBC-Ukraine, citing sources, reported that Ukraine was preparing sanctions against Russia for distributing passports in occupied Donbas.
