President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not satisfied with the Minsk format. At the same time, Ukraine continues to work on this format to preserve the dialogue.
Zelensky said this in an interview with Politico.
The chair added that the issue of the Normandy format is technically being resolved in the Minsk process in the Trilateral Contact Group format.
“Personally I am dissatisfied with the Minsk format and the consistency and wording of some of the points that were signed. Personally I am completely dissatisfied with the composition of this format. This is the only format we are working on today. Have a dialogue that I’m sure it will lead to a return to territorial integrity, “Zelensky said.
He noted that this is the only format that provides external influence to change the constitution of Ukraine.
Note that the Minsk agreements provide for amendments to the Ukrainian constitution on the special status of Donbass. At the same time, according to the Deputy Prime Minister of Reintegration Oleksiy Reznikov, Ukraine will not make these changes to the constitution.
Also RBC-Ukraine wrote that in August the Ukrainian party to the TCG proposed to replace the concept of “special status” of Donbass with “a special regime of administrative management”.
