The US State Department canceled the US visa for Rudolph Giuliani’s Ukrainian aide, Andrei Telizhenko. The latter helped US President Donald Trump’s personal attorney gather incriminating information about the son of former presidential candidate Joe Biden.
It is reported by Voice of America.
Telizhenko was unable to board the Ukraine International Airlines flight from Kiev to New York.
The post notes that the cancellation of Telizhenko’s visa occurred in connection with actions by US authorities aimed at stopping Russia’s attempts to influence the November presidential elections.
Previously, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against another Ukrainian who collaborated with Giuliani: MP Andriy Derkach. The US Treasury Department called Derkach “an acting Russian agent.”
We will recall that the former employee of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States, Andriy Telizhenko, who claimed to have allegedly interfered with Ukraine in the 2016 US elections, offered bribes to pressure US senators on behalf of two Ukrainian television channels: 112 Ukraine and News One.
