There were no goals in the first match of matchday five and there were very few dangerous situations. The Kharkiv team disappointed, which, however, prevailed alone.

Yaroslav Yampol’s injury forced Valery Kryventsov to release the hero of the last round from the first minutes on the pitch as part of Kharkiv’s Anton Kalaytan. Also “from ship to point” at the base appeared the newcomer “Metalista 1925” Dmitry Kryskiv, who replaced Dmitry Kravchenko in a pair with Koltsov in the support zone. The guests unexpectedly came out of the first minutes of Vladimir Savoshko and Andrey Kovalev, in addition to, in principle, a very offensive model, which we did not expect in the forecast, to be honest. Former Metalist 1925 player, defender Vadim Zhuk, also came out from the opening minutes.

“Polesie” played at the height of composition and formation, not at all embarrassed to attack with great forces and leave the defense through meaningful actions and a short pass. At the same time, the residents of Zhytomyr acted reliably on its gates due to its compactness and timely pressure. Only Lucas Ventura, on the left, occasionally had room for attacks, which ended in a dangerous lumbago. But the most dangerous moment at Makhankov’s gate before half-time came as a result of a mistake by the visiting goalkeeper. He dropped the ball from his hands and Shershen nearly sent the round to goal. However, Vladimir immediately corrected his mistake by fixing the first round hard.

Denis Sidorenko also had to enter the game multiple times, so it is still unclear who was luckier than the first half score remaining unopened. It is only clear that Kryventsov was very unhappy with the inert actions of the right, carried out by Anton Savin. Without the usual midfield partner (Yampol), the number 77 of “Metalist 1925” seemed really out of place.

What happened on the field in the first half of the second half was surprising: “Metalist 1925” was not only without the ball, it was frankly “driven” by newcomers from the First League. The ball was most often on the right flank of the Polish attack, where Vladimir Savoshko and Andrey Ponedelnik were remembered for their virtuous actions with the ball. However, this control of the guests did not lead to serious moments.

Kryventsov decided to launch another newcomer, Andrei Savitsky, into battle, replacing Kalaytan, who had vanished after the break, like the rest of the team. The young player immediately went to the front of the attack and Derek changed depth. Right after that, there was a moment with Lucas’s career, which was interrupted by Andrei Vlasyuk in a brilliant entry. However, this episode allowed the Kharkiv team to level the game, at least now the ball was more often in the guest’s midfield than in the 49th to 70th minute.

Shishchenko also responded with a series of substitutions, during which he moved to a three-center game. This finally “dried up” the end, both teams extended their undefeated streaks, but this doesn’t make it any easier for soccer aesthetes. The match was very poor for truly brilliant moments, if Kryskiv’s somersault is to be considered the best of them.
