Following the death of a six-year-old boy in a fire in Kiev, the police initiated criminal proceedings under the article on premeditated murder, the boy’s father was arrested. The media wrote that he set fire to the room in which the son was found.
The man, who, according to some reports, set fire to an apartment in Kiev with his six-year-old son, as a result of which the boy died, was arrested. The metropolitan police reported this on October 5 on Facebook.
“After the fire was extinguished in the apartment, the body of a child was found. In addition, there was a 35-year-old father of the deceased boy on the premises, who behaved inappropriately and refused to open the door to rescuers and law enforcement officers. He was arrested, ”the message says.
The Police warned that investigative actions are being carried out with the detainee in the framework of a criminal process, opened under Part 2 of art. 115 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On October 5, on Pravdy Avenue in Kiev, a fire broke out in one of the apartments of the 31st house. Rescue teams found the boy’s body there. According to preliminary information provided by UNN interlocutors, the man fought with his wife and set fire to the room where the child was. The man would have been detained, but this information was not confirmed at the time.
