In Kyrgyzstan, protesters storm the White House

In central Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, protesters began storming the White House, which is the seat of the country’s president and government.

Protesters are shaking closed gates and some have already started climbing the fence. The stones are falling in the White House. The police are trying to disperse the protesters using flashbang grenades.

According to Interfax, law enforcement officers, equipped with shields and batons, use water cannons, tear gas and stun grenades.

Before that, the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry called the protesters to order and demanded that they disperse. Instead, however, the riots only intensified.

According to the organizers of the action, representatives and supporters of 11 political parties of the 16 that had participated in the parliamentary elections of the previous day participated. They signed a resolution demanding the cancellation of the voting results.

We will remember, the protests in Kyrgyzstan broke out on Monday morning, after the parliamentary elections in the country. 11 of the 12 parties that participated in them immediately refused to acknowledge the preliminary results of the vote and signed a corresponding statement.

16 parties competed for 120 seats in the new composition of the Kyrgyz parliament. According to preliminary results, four political forces crossed the electoral threshold. The Birimdik party will receive 46 parliamentary mandates, Mekenim Kyrgyzstan – 45, Kyrgyzstan – 16 and Butun Kyrgyzstan – 13. They are forced to join in a coalition, since no one won a constitutional majority. The former ruling Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan collapsed.

As reported, new protests against Lukashenka began yesterday in the center of Minsk, whose participants are also not satisfied with the election results.
