Police in the Kharkiv region said they had warned the organizers of Olga Polyakova’s concert about the inadmissibility of violating quarantine restrictions, but the massive event still took place.
On the fact of a concert on October 3 in the Novobavarsky district of Kharkov with the participation of the singer Olga Polyakova, criminal proceedings were opened. On October 4, the Kharkiv region police reported this.
“Despite the current quarantine, a concert was held at the stadium on Profsoyuzny Boulevard, attended by about 2 thousand people … infectious diseases and massive poisonings) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine”, – said in the message.
Law enforcement officers noted that they learned of plans to hold a concert on October 3 on October 1, in connection with which “a letter was written to the district administration with a request to indicate information about the event, in particular about the organizer, and the approximate number of participants “. The reference was to Kharkov’s inclusion in the “orange” zone of the quarantine restrictions.
“The letter indicated a warning about the responsibility according to the current legislation in case of violation of the allowed number of participants and their accommodation … On October 3, 40 employees of the Novobavarsk and Kholodnogorsk police departments were at the scene of mass events to explain to citizens the rules for observing the quarantine, as well as arranging illegal actions by the event organizers ”, – said the police.
The public notes that Polyakova’s speech was announced as a holiday on the occasion of Education Workers’ Day.
On July 22, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine issued a decree that, depending on the epidemic situation in the region or individual administrative-territorial units, establishes a “green”, “yellow”, “orange” or “red” level of epidemic danger of spread of COVID-19.
On August 26, Ukraine extended the adaptive quarantine until November 1.
Since September 28, Kharkiv has been in the “orange” zone of restrictions.
In Ukraine, until October 4, 226 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were registered. 4,397 COVID-19 patients have died, more than 100,000 have recovered.
