The final stage of the Ukrainian plan is to hold local elections in ORDLO, said the head of the presidential office.
International partners have no doubts about Ukraine’s position, according to the head of the president’s office.
The Kiev official is awaiting a response from his counterpart regarding his plan for a peaceful settlement in Donbas. This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24.
“Today, the Ukrainian plan for a peaceful settlement is on the table. This plan has at the end what the Ukrainian people want so much and what, I hope, all progressive countries and our partners are waiting for, and what the residents of Donbass they are waiting first, our army is waiting for their families, “he said.
Yermak clarified that the final stage of this plan is to hold local elections in CADLO on the basis of Ukrainian legislation and the norms of the Copenhagen Convention.
According to the head of the president’s office, the international partners have no doubts about Ukraine’s position.
He also clarified that the trilateral contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass is a consultation platform and the decisions made there have no direct political obligations for Ukraine.
Therefore, according to him, the members of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG do not receive the directives received by the delegations that leave for official negotiations, representing Ukraine.
“The people who work there do so voluntarily, they do not receive a salary, in fact, they make decisions that are then implemented through the authorities so that these decisions can be made legally and politically,” explained the head of the Presidency.
He clarified that the key people who today make up the position of the Ukrainian delegation are its head, former President Leonid Kravchuk and his deputy, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Reznikov.
We will recall, earlier Yermak said that it was decided to invite former Prime Minister Vitold Fokin to the Ukrainian delegation of the trilateral contact group on the solution of the armed conflict in Donbass in the office of the president collectively.
