Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has threatened to launch a new military operation if Kurdish forces do not withdraw from northern Syria.
This is reported by Anadolu.
“The terrorist-controlled regions in Syria must be liberated as promised. Otherwise, Turkey will do it on its own, “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the opening ceremony of the Reyhanli reservoir in the southern province of Hatay, bordering Syria.
He said that Turkey will continue to take decisive action until full stability is established along its southern borders.
The head of state stressed that Turkey will not accept a single scenario that could lead to another humanitarian tragedy in Idlib.
“We not only prevent the creation of a terrorist corridor near our borders, but we also show our Syrian brothers that they are not alone,” Erdogan added.
We will remember, in March, Turkey carried out Operation Spring Shield.
