The decision to invite the first Prime Minister of Ukraine, Vitold Fokin, to the Trilateral Contact Group was collective. It was adopted taking into account his political experience.

He also has a lot of political experience. I mean, there was a desire for such an experienced person and he added wisdom to the TCG, “he explained.
Yermak added that if Fokin had made such statements about Donbass previously, he would not have been invited to the TCG.
“If this charge is made public, then it should have been evaluated, and it was given,” he added.
Recall that this year, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, introduced Vitold Fokin to the Ukrainian delegation of TCG. Following his appointment, Fokin began to make provocative statements about the situation in Donbass. In particular, Fokin said he does not see the confirmation of the war between Ukraine and Russia in the Donbass.
After that, Fokin was removed from the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
Fokin’s firing was also supported by Andriy Umak, who, according to media reports, offered Zelensky to invite the prime minister to the TCG.
