Vereshchuk spent the bulk of all mayoral candidates on Facebook advertising – “Support”

The political advertising of Servant of the People candidate Irina Vereshchuk is less targeted at an audience under 24 and 65+; in total, these two age categories represent 17.2% of the orientation, according to the civic network Opora.

People’s Deputy of the Servant of the People party, Iryna Vereshchuk, is the leader among the mayoral candidates of Ukrainian cities in terms of the amount of money spent on political advertising on Facebook in September. This was reported on October 2 by the Opora civic network.

In September, Vereshchuk spent nearly $ 32,000 on 3503 ads. Users under the age of 24 and over the age of 65 see less of Vereshchuk’s ads; in total, these two age categories represent 17.2% of the orientation.

Second in terms of the amount of money spent is the current mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Klitschko, who paid more than $ 7,500 for 48 advertising messages. The audience for Klitschko’s messages is somewhat younger: about half of the programs are aimed at people between the ages of 18 and 34.

Lviv mayoral candidate Oleg Sinyutka of the European Solidarity political party spent more than $ 4,500 on 307 advertising messages. Sinyutka is one of the few mayoral candidates whose target is more aimed at a male audience.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi was fourth in terms of the amount spent on political advertising on Facebook in September: about $ 4,000 for 39 advertising messages. Basically, Sadovy reports on his work in office for the past five years and presents plans for the next cadence.

The candidate for mayor of the opposition Platform – For Life party, Alexander Popov, who held the relevant position during 2010-2014, spent more than $ 3,500 on 578 advertising messages. It is the only candidate who does not direct its advertising messages to users under 35 years old, and almost a quarter of the impressions are directed to women between 55 and 64 years old.

Also active on Facebook in September was Odessa mayoral candidate Sergey Kalinchuk (over $ 3,500), for Lviv mayors – Taras Klofa and Igor Vasyunik (over $ 3,200 each), for Poltava mayor – Andrey Matkovsky (more than $ 3200), for the mayor of Kiev – showman Sergey Pritula (more than $ 3100).

Local elections in Ukraine are scheduled for October 25. Elections will be held throughout Ukraine, except for Russian-occupied Crimea and certain territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The electoral campaign began on September 5.
