Now, how many games have the Dynamo seen, the team plays differently, and is already in the Champions League. I am very happy about this. I enjoyed what I saw. Lucescu arrived and in a short time it gave results with those players who before were only criticized. He is, in my opinion, a great coach. Once in his interview, I heard that his players are the best for him. Lucescu has never said that his players are not the same. Although, probably, he would like to sign new Brazilians and strengthen those he loves. But even with those players he has, it paid off. So I really do take my hat off to him. I also take my hat off to the president of the “Dynamo” Igor Mikhailovich Surkis, because he made a bet on that person. See how Sidorchuk started to play. This is a completely different footballer. See how Shaparenko plays. Now leaders Verbic and Tsygankov are not playing base. I think with the previous mentors, Zabarny would not have played base. – I have never worked with Lucescu, I do not know him as a coach and as a person. As a coach, I only know him for his achievements, how he worked at Shakhtar, how he worked in Europe. Now I deliberately did not communicate much with the Dynamo players, for myself I wanted to draw conclusions about the team. Looking only at the game and based on what I see, and I watch all the Dynamo games, now with the arrival of a new coach with the same players, those in Kiev have an image. There is a difference in the team’s play and there is a great advantage in the form of the result. I think Lucescu is a great coach. Well, actually, it’s great. This is evidenced by his achievements and trophies. This is the best coach. Also, having come to the “Dynamo”, with so much history in the past, I can say that he is a man. Now I have great respect for him. Previously, I perceived it, like many, differently.
– Can Shakhtar feel uneasy about the fact that Lucescu is bred by the Dynamo?
– Not that to worry, but I think it hurts somewhere. There is no such stability and balance. It’s like in boxing, when with a good defense you miss the blow and start swimming. Lucescu is an experienced specialist. By his look, by his behavior in the field, you can see what it is. Your ideas are visible, it is clear what the person wants. I speak my opinion without even communicating with the Dynamo players, although I will.
– The Dynamo ultras are unhappy with the appointment of Lucescu …
– The sector of ultra fans does not treat Lucescu very well, because he worked at Shakhtar. Of course, I also have an understanding of this somewhere inside, in my subconscious. But as a footballer, I perceive him according to his achievements and his work. What you do makes me happy. I am very happy for the Dynamo and I always defend the boys, because I know: many of them can become very good players in the future. I am sure that Lucescu is the person who will teach a lot to these young people and they will play for big clubs in the future.
