Vyacheslav Zolochevsky in the hospital
The flight proceeded as usual, but the cadet never found out that there were problems and the plane crashed.
Cadet Vyacheslav Zolochevsky, who survived the An-26 crash, said there was no panic on board until the last moment. He announced it on Friday, October 2, in a comment to LB.ua.
When asked when he realized there was a problem on board, he replied: “I can’t remember that. It was a normal flight. There was no panic.”
Zolochevsky also noted that he did not know about the left engine PCM (torque meter) pressure drop at 8:38 PM.
According to the cadet, after each landing and before each takeoff, the aircraft was inspected.
“When we got on board, the plane was fully operational,” he said.

It was previously reported that the surviving cadet Zolochevsky became the main witness. His testimony helped the investigation establish the facts that preceded the tragedy.
