Beginning October 5, Kanev from the Cherkasy and Ternopil region will be referred to the “red” zone for the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

On October 1, the State Commission for Safety and Technogenic and Environmental Emergencies updated the distribution of the quarantine zones. The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, Oleg Nemchinov, announced this on Telegram.

The new zoning will go into effect on October 5.

Kanev from the Cherkasy and Ternopil region entered the “red” zone. Since September 28, Ternopil and Berezhany in the Ternopil region have been in the “red” zone. Berezhany will turn orange on Monday.

Kiev remains in the “yellow” zone, Nemchinov said.

The minister published a list of settlements and districts that entered the “orange” zone.



Nemchinov also published a list of settlements in the “yellow” zone.





The restrictions will be in effect for at least 14 days, the minister said.

An outbreak of coronavirus infection began in late 2019 in China. March 11, 2020 World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a pandemic… In March, Ukraine announced the quarantine.

On July 22, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a decree that, depending on the epidemic situation in the region or in the individual administrative-territorial units, establishes a “green”, “yellow”, “orange” or “red” level of epidemic danger of the spread of COVID-19.

On August 26, Ukraine extended the adaptive quarantine until November 1.

On September 16, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers amended the decree on the rules for zoning regions based on the epidemic situation, softening the requirements to classify a region as a “red” zone.

In Ukraine 213 thousand people were infected with coronavirus as of October 1, 4193 patients died, 94,443 recovered.
