Fires in the Lugansk region – The fire approached Severodonetsk

In the Lugansk region, 85 fires were recorded, of which 42 were eliminated. Dozens of houses are burning in the villages, the fire has approached the city of Severodonetsk.

Rescue teams extinguish the fire in the villages of Kryakivka, Trehizbenka, Muratovo, Kapitanovo, Novoaydarsky district, in the villages of Artem and Nizhneteplom, Stanichno-Luhansk district, as well as in the town of Polovinkino, Starobelsky district.

“Colleagues from the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions came to help our rescuers, provided 35 equipment and personnel,” the message reads.

Police in the Lugansk region report that four houses caught fire in the village of Krasnaya Talovka in the Stanichno-Luhansk region.

Six more residential buildings and about ten domestic structures were damaged in a fire in the village of Kryakovka, Novoaydarsky district. Two houses caught fire in the village of Trehizbenka.

Rescuers and law enforcement officers are evacuating residents of Muratovo, Kapitanovo and Grechishkino villages, Novoaydarsky district.

It is observed that strong winds, whose speed reaches 20 m / s, interfere with firefighters. In addition, the storms damaged power lines in five settlements, leaving more than 1,000 subscribers without power.

Also, due to the fire, traffic on the Novoaydar-Severodonetsk highway in the town of Muratovo is limited.

An operational headquarters has been established in the region to provide assistance to fire victims.

We will recall that large-scale fires also broke out in the Lugansk region in July. The fire took place in several settlements in the Novoaydar region at the same time. Due to the strong wind and heat, the area of ​​the fire began to increase sharply.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, 223 people were injured as a result of the fires, 6 citizens were killed and dozens of houses were completely destroyed.

Earlier, the Lugansk Regional State Administration named the amount of damage caused by forest fires, but it was more than half.
