The representative of Ukraine in the TCG reminded the representative of Russia that Ukraine is an independent state and will not allow it to impose any conditions.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Leonid Kravchuk, demanded that Russian representative Boris Gryzlov not present ultimatums and called on Russia to unblock negotiations to resolve the conflict in Donbass. This was announced on Wednesday, September 30, by the press service of the Presidency.
“Do not give us ultimatums. We are not in the USSR or under the Kremlin. Ukraine is an independent state that will not allow conditions to be imposed on it,” Kravchuk told Russian representative Gryzlov.
Kravchuk also asked the Russian side not to create “obstacles”, but rather to “advance” the negotiations on Donbass.
He stressed the need to focus on issues important to Ukrainians.
Kravchuk also said that it is now necessary to work on the implementation of the Paris agreements of the “Normandy Four” to bring peace closer. He noted that the Ukrainian side is interested in the constructive work of the TCG.
It should be noted that the TCG meeting was held by videoconference with the participation of delegations from Ukraine, the Russian Federation and moderated by the OSCE.
We will recall, today President Zelensky recalled TCG’s Vitold Fokin after his outrageous statements that he does not see any confirmation of the Ukraine-Russia war. And today the Kremlin commented on Fokin’s words About Russia.
