The head of the Ukrainian delegation of the Trilateral Contact Group, Leonid Kravchuk, called on Russia to unblock the negotiations to resolve the conflict in Donbas. He stressed the need to focus on issues important to Ukrainians.
This is reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Kravchuk said that it is now necessary to work on the implementation of the Paris agreements of the “Normandy Four” to bring peace closer. He noted that the Ukrainian side is interested in the constructive work of the TCG.
“Don’t give us ultimatums. We are not in the USSR or under the Kremlin. Ukraine is an independent state that will not allow conditions to be imposed on it,” Kravchuk addressed Russian representative Boris Gryzlov.
Kravchuk also asked the Russian side not to create “obstacles”, but rather to “advance” the negotiations on Donbass.
Recall that Ukraine in the OSCE accused Russia of blocking the work of the TCG in several areas at once. For several months, TCG has not discussed political issues and tasks.
At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that Ukraine will not accept blackmail from Russia in the negotiations on an agreement in Donbass.
