The investigation is considering various versions of the An-26 accident near Chuguev, but the first conclusions have already been made, said Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Urusky, who heads the government commission to investigate the causes of the disaster.

The cause of the An-26Sh trainer accident near Chuguev, Kharkov region, could be a combination of the human factor and technical problems. On September 30, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, head of the government commission to investigate the circumstances of the disaster, Oleg Urusky, wrote about this on Facebook.

“The investigation is considering several different versions of the plane crash. However, it is clear that the technical failures that occurred overlapped the human factor in its various manifestations,” Urusky said.

Decoding work on the flight recorders continues, beginning on September 28.

“They are in a satisfactory condition. Aviation experts are working on them. The end of the decryption process is expected this week,” said the deputy prime minister.

He added that on the territory of the military unit A4104 in Chuguev, the fuselage of the plane is being collected, the fragments of which were transported there from the crash site.

The An-26Sh training plane crashed and caught fire two kilometers from the Chuguev military airfield on the night of September 25. There were 27 people on board: seven military personnel (crew members and instructors) and 20 cadets from the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University.

26 people died. The life of a sole survivor, a cadet Vyacheslav Zolochevsky, nothing threatens.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, a few minutes before the disaster the aircraft commander reported a left engine failure and requested a landing, however, for an unknown reason, the aircraft crashed on the side of the runway.
