The Armenian Defense Ministry said that as of the morning of September 30, an active artillery fire was taking place in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The department’s press secretary, Shushan Stepanyan, wrote about this on her Facebook.
Also, according to her, two drones were shot down in the sky over Stepanakert at night.
In turn, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports that as of the morning of September 30 there are battles across the front.
The ministry claims that the Armenian side tried to launch an attack in the direction of Madagiz to regain lost positions.
«This enemy activity was repressed and our troops are making a counterattack to break their resistance ”, the message says.
The fighting between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops on the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh began on the night of September 27. Azerbaijan and Armenia introduced martial law and announced the mobilization of the reserve.
Both countries blame each other for the escalation of the conflict and report combat casualties and civilian casualties. According to Baku and Yerevan, the enemy is using heavy weapons and mercenaries.
The international community called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately cease hostilities and to sit at the negotiating table.
