Monument dedicated to execution victims inaugurated in Kiev
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with the head of the cabinet of ministers and the president of the Verkhovna Rada, participated in the events dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the memory of the Babi Yar victims in Kiev. They were present at the inauguration of the memorial dedicated to the victims of the tragedy.
Also in the capital, the fifth march was held in memory of those killed during the Babi Yar executions in 1941-1943.
Poroshenko tested positive for coronavirus
Ukraine’s fifth president Petro Poroshenko announced that he had contracted COVID-19 and thus stops traveling to the regions. At the same time, the Greco-Roman wrestling world champion, MP Jean Beleniuk, announced his coronavirus infection.
On the morning of September 29, 204,932 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine, of which 90,250 ended in recovery and 4,065 in death. During the day, 3,627 new infections were detected.
The Rada Committee opposed the presence of Fokin in the TCG
The Parliamentary Committee on the Organization of State Power has asked President Volodymyr Zelensky to remove Vitold Fokin from the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, as, according to the people’s deputies, he does not consider Russia an aggressor.
In addition, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, said that Fokin should leave the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
Civilians killed in battles around Nagorno-Karabakh
The Armenian authorities reported four civilians killed from Nagorno-Karabakh and dozens of injured as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani armed forces. In turn, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, declared that as a result of the bombings from the Armenian side, ten peaceful Azerbaijani citizens were killed.

The Cabinet of Ministers has determined a number of conditions under which foreign citizens can enter the territory of Ukraine during the quarantine period. In particular, authorities have ruled that insurance is required for foreigners and stateless persons to cross the state border.
