Mevlut Cavusoglu wants to “radically” solve the Karabakh problem
The world community is wrong, putting Azerbaijan and Armenia on the same plane in this conflict, Mevlut Cavusoglu noted.
Turkey stands ready to support Azerbaijan both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield. This was stated by the head of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday, September 29.
“We want (the Nagorno-Karabakh problem – ed.) To be radically resolved. We have made many efforts to achieve this, but to no avail. We have always been close to Azerbaijan, both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table. We will continue this solidarity, “he added. – Cavusoglu said after his visit to the Azerbaijani embassy in Ankara.
According to him, the world community is wrong, putting Azerbaijan and Armenia on the same plane in this conflict.
“Azerbaijan and Armenia are not the same. All together we support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and Georgia. But Azerbaijan is equated with Armenia, which occupied their lands. And this is unacceptable,” added the minister.
The deputy head of the ruling Justice and Development Party, Numan Kurtulmush, who also visited the Azerbaijan embassy, stressed that Turkey views Azerbaijan’s problems as its own.
“Armenia is involved in provocations. We regard the attacks against Azerbaijan as an attack against Turkey. We will do everything possible to help brother Azerbaijan. In the end, he will win his fight,” he said.
As you know, on the morning of September 27, Armenia and Azerbaijan resumed hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, accusing each other of bombing the border areas and provoking violence.
Reuters also reported that Turkey is allegedly sending controlled Syrian militants to Azerbaijan. Both countries deny this information.
