Under the agreement, the company undertook to build a centralized storage facility for spent nuclear fuel from Ukraine’s nuclear power plants. Then the cost of building the storage facility increased to 1.36 billion UAH.
After that, in 2017-2019, the manager of Energoatom received for free from another company, also controlled by the former deputy of Verkhovna Rada, three apartments in new buildings in Kiev with a total value of almost 4.42 million UAH. According to investigators, it is a bribe for signing a contract with the former deputy’s company.
NABU points out that this is the second episode of corruption abuses revealed by NABU and SAP with the participation of the people’s deputy.
