Dmitry Razumkov hopes to hold talks on Nagorno-Karabakh
The peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan are going through difficult times, said the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Razumkov, called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to sit at the negotiating table to avoid new victims due to the worsening situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. He said so during a conciliation council meeting on Monday, September 28.
“Today is a difficult time for the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples. We, as a State, are concerned about what is happening, about the military operations. And I, on behalf of myself and the Verkhovna Rada, would like to ask everyone to do everything possible so that people do not die and sit at the negotiating table to save the lives of civilians and citizens of the two states, “Razumkov said during the conciliation council.
He expressed his hope that the development of events in Nagorno-Karabakh would follow this path.
Let us remind you that on the morning of September 27, Armenia and Azerbaijan resumed hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, accusing each other of bombing border areas and provoking violence.
Many foreign countries, including Ukraine, and international organizations called for an end to the conflict.
