Arrests in Minsk
In Minsk, unknown persons in ski masks and riot police detained people at the intersection of Gorodskoy Val and Nemiga streets, at the intersection of Masherov avenue and Timiryazev street.
About 100,000 people participate in the protest against Alexander Lukashenko’s regime in Minsk on Sunday, September 27, dozens of people were arrested, reported the Belarusian Radio Liberty service and the TUT.BY portal.
A column of protesters marches down Independence Avenue. The column occupied the entire road.
At the same time, almost all of Minsk is blocked.
According to the human rights center Viasna, at least 78 people were arrested on Sunday in different cities of Belarus. The official representative of the Belarusian Interior Ministry, Olga Chemodanova, said that more than a hundred people were detained during unauthorized mass events in the country on Sunday. She noted that the data will be updated later.
