As a result of an explosion in the Orekhovo area of the Lugansk region, the Ukrainian army received shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized, the Joint Forces operation headquarters reported.

On September 26 and since the beginning of this day, pro-Russian militants in Donbas have violated the ceasefire on four occasions, the headquarters of the Joint Forces operation reported on Facebook.

On September 26, in the Novolugansk Donetsk region, Russian armed formations fired at Ukrainian positions from an automatic grenade launcher, near the Verkhnetoretsk Donetsk region, with small arms.

“Near Avdiivka at night, the enemy provoked our military with single shots from small arms and a grenade launcher,” the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the current day, the militants violated the ceasefire once: shots from an automatic grenade launcher, a heavy machine gun and a grenade launcher were recorded under the barrel near the Donetsk experimental region. There are no casualties among the Ukrainian military as a result of the militant bombardments, the headquarters reported.

In the Orekhovo area of the Lugansk region, while moving inside the platoon’s stronghold, three Ukrainian soldiers were blown up by an unknown explosive device and received shrapnel wounds of varying severity. They were hospitalized.

In 2014, immediately after the annexation of Crimea, Russia launched an armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. The fighting is between the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the one hand, and the Russian army and the Russian-backed militants who control parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, on the other. The Russian Federation does not officially recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite the facts and evidence presented by Ukraine.

On July 22, 2020, the Trilateral Contact Group agreed to a full and complete ceasefire in Donbas starting at midnight on July 27. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Joint Forces in Donbass would respond to enemy bombardments even after the ceasefire went into effect.

On August 26, the JFO headquarters reported that during the first month of the full and complete ceasefire regime in Donbas, there were no combat casualties or injuries in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.

On September 6, on the 42nd day of the armistice, militants in Donbass attacked Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk region, and one soldier was wounded. On the same day, another Ukrainian military man was killed in the Lugansk region as a result of bombardments by militants.
