A cadet from the Lviv region, who received 90% of the body burns, died in hospital. The second survivor is in moderate condition.
One of the two cadets who survived the AN-26 plane crash in the Kharkiv region died in hospital. The second was improving. This was announced on Saturday morning, September 26, on the Ukraine 24 television channel with reference to the hospital’s chief physician Eduard Khoroshun.
It is noted that Vitaly Vilkhovoy, who received 90% of the body burns, died. Death occurred at approximately 10:50 am.
At the same time, the surviving cadet is now in hospital with moderate injuries. He was transferred from intensive care to the somatic department.
“First he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Now in the morning, with an improvement, he was also transferred to the somatic department in moderate severity. The wounds will heal. I believe that next Sunday there will be a question of discharge, followed by discharge for health reasons”. Eduard Khoroshun pointed out.
According to the mother of the surviving cadet, he jumped from the moving plane. His parachute did not open because the altitude was low.
It was previously reported that there were cadets from 11 regions of Ukraine on the plane. Two people survived, from the Kharkov and Lvov regions.
Recall that today the body of another victim was found under the fuselage. The search for two more people continues. Nor has the “black box” been found yet.
