EU – Ukraine: From now on, on your own, on your own …
As I wrote, the EU has radically changed its attitude towards Ukraine, recognizing the impossibility of reforming our country in the direction of European values. The project is closed.
From now on, the EU regards Ukraine simply as a source of cheap labor, an appendage of raw materials, a sales market and a buffer state. And nothing more.
Indeed, the main objective of the recent visit of the EU diplomatic chief to Ukraine, Mr Borrell, was precisely to bring this sad fact to the attention of Ukrainians.
Here is a quote:
“As I told President Zelenskiy, the European Union is not a charity or an ATM. The best way for us to support Ukraine is to help reform the country, but the Ukrainians can only implement these reforms themselves.”
Well, we ourselves are unfortunately not in a position to reform. We ourselves can only maintain the current status quo, that is, the failed state, or destroy ourselves, which, in fact, we are doing, massively dispersing to make money in all directions.
The circle is complete. More precisely, everything returned to normal.
I wrote about the inevitability of this outcome after the Maidan’s victory amid the euphoria, when people happily ran to vote for Poroshenko. You couldn’t even think of the worst option to carry out reforms, but the populace can welcome anything. Even the patented thief Poroshenko, as a great reformer.
Well, the election of Zelensky as president is already the quintessence, the apotheosis of the ochlocracy.
The oclocracy, as you know, is not capable of reforms. The oclocracy is not even capable of articulating its problems clearly, or of solving them. Ochlocracy is a concentrated form of populism and demagoguery
Therefore, we will soon become disgusting.
