Law enforcement officers arrested the second suspect in the attack on bystanders in Paris near the old newsroom of the satirical publication Charlie Hebdo. On Friday September 25, reports Le Figaro.

It is observed that at 1:30 p.m. the second suspect was arrested near the Richard Lenoir metro station by a brigade of the railway network.

According to preliminary data, the detainee is of Indian-Pakistani origin.

Both suspects were arrested.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into an assassination attempt for terrorist purposes and participation in a terrorist criminal association.

The attack reportedly took place in the morning in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, near Boulevard Richard Lenoir, where Charlie Hebdo’s office used to be located. The attacker injured four people, two of them in serious condition.

As a reminder, as a result of an armed attack on Charlie Hebdo’s editorial office on January 7, 2015, 12 people were killed. The attack was carried out by brothers Sheriff and Said Kouashi, who declared their affiliation to the al-Qaeda group. They were killed during a special operation.
