The number of victims of the disaster has increased

Previously, 22 deaths of 28 passengers were reported. Criminal proceedings have been initiated for violation of the flight rules and preparation for them.

25 people were victims of the AN-26 military plane crash in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the press service of the Attorney General’s Office on Friday, September 25.

“Preliminarily, 25 dead, 2 injured in serious condition were transferred to medical institutions, the search for the rest continues,” says the message.

At the same time, the State Emergency Service clarified that 27 people were on board, and not 28, as previously reported. A cadet was not allowed to fly.

It is observed that around 8:50 p.m. near the city of Chuguev, during the landing approach, the plane lost control and fell close to the road. On board were, in addition to the crew members, cadets from the University of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the Kharkiv Air Force named after Kozhedub.

Regarding the fact of the fall of the military aircraft AN-26 of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov region, a criminal process has been initiated for violation of the flight rules and preparation for them, which led to a catastrophe and serious consequences (Article 416 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the department said.

“Prosecutors from the Kharkiv garrison military prosecutor’s office and investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation are working at the scene,” the press service said.

We will recall, the military plane AN-26, on board of which there were 28 people (21 cadets of the Kharkov University of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and seven officers), crashed in the Kharkov region.

As reported, 22 passengers died, four were missing, two people were saved.
