Mikhail Zagortsev recorded a video message in support of the protesters, in which he left a “Russian trail” on the harsh actions of the security forces against the protesters.

In annexed Crimea, the deputy head of the Yalta administration, Mikhail Zagortsev, was dismissed due to inadmissible statements about the situation in Belarus. This was announced by the so-called municipal administrator of the city Ivan Imgrunt on his Facebook page on Friday, September 25.

According to him, after the video clip with Zagortsev’s statement “on the fact of supporting the opposition in Belarus”, it was concluded that this appeal “excludes the possibility that he is in this position,” wrote Imgrunt.

Mikhail Zagortsev was born in Belarus. From 2010 to 2020, he was chairman of the Bobruisk city council of deputies and headed the Smolevichi regional executive committee of the Minsk region. He became deputy mayor of Yalta in September 2020. In the administration, he was in charge of housing and communal services and public transport.

In early August, Zagortsev recorded a video message in support of the protesters, in which he left a “Russian trail” on the harsh actions of the security forces against the protesters.

Let us remind you that protests broke out in Belarus after the inauguration of Alexander Lukashenko.

It was also previously reported that Alexander Lukashenko, in a meeting with the Chinese ambassador, commented for the first time on reproaches about his secret inauguration and the lack of recognition of his legitimacy.
