In Ternopil, the deputy director of the Ternopil State Tax Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the region and his son with a friend, as well as several people from the criminal world, were arrested.
This was reported in the Attorney General’s Office. It is noted that they demanded a non-existent debt in the amount of 40 thousand dollars.
“Under the procedural direction of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the following were arrested: the head of the Ternopil State Tax Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Ternopil Region, his son – the head of the company , as well as two more people on the fact of extortion (parts 3, 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) “, – said in the message.
According to the investigation, the head of the tax inspection together with his son, involving two representatives of criminals, demanded from the citizen 40 thousand dollars for the allegedly appropriate products during his work in the company, whose boss is the son of the official. However, they threatened him and his family with physical violence.
Upon receiving the second part of the “debt” in the amount of US $ 10,000, the four persons were arrested in accordance with art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. The funds were found and confiscated during urgent investigative actions.
According to the site “Ternopolyani”, we are talking about Yevhen Vorobets, his son Vasily and friend of his son Andrei.
The publication notes that the arrest took place in three different parts of the city: at the site near the gas station, near the Vatra plant, and in the private sector of Ternopil.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, on September 24, the State Investigations Office detained one of the prosecutors from the Tomakovsky department of the Nikopol local prosecutor’s office at a hotspot in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to preliminary information, the man claimed and received 25 thousand hryvnia for annulling the decision of the investigating police to close the criminal proceedings.
