Volkswagen’s electric SUV will be able to exceed 520 km on a single charge
Volkswagen has officially unveiled the VW ID.4 electric crossover built on the VW MEB modular platform. It is a global model and will be sold in the US, China and Europe.
The 77 (82) kWh battery version gives the VW ID.4 a range of up to 520 km. Using a home electrical network, an electric car can get 50 km per hour of charging, a full charge from a normal charge will take about 7.5 hours.
In Germany, the VW ID.4 will cost 43,330 euros. Production of the car has already begun at the Zwickau (Germany) factory, the first copies will be delivered to European customers by the end of 2020. In the United States, local production at the Chattanooga, Tennessee factory will not begin until 2022 .
Volkswagen is investing € 11 billion in electric mobility by 2024 as part of its Transform 2025+ strategy.
