Ludmila Kazak, a lawyer for opposition member Maria Kolesnikova, has disappeared in Belarus. The attorney has not been in contact since noon on September 24.

This was reported by the Belarusian agency TUT.by.

According to lawyer Viktor Matskevich, his colleague was supposed to participate in today’s hearing, but did not appear.

“She did not come to court. The car is parked in Kommunisticheskaya, closed,” he said.

Matskevich added that Kazak’s husband is submitting a missing statement to the Central District police.

“Lyudmila’s husband and I believe that her disappearance is related to her professional activities,” emphasized the lawyer.

Let us remind you that the opposition Kolesnikova is accused of an alleged attempt to seize state power. At the beginning of the month they tried to get her out of the country. However, the opposition woman resisted, so they decided to arrest her. Now she is in jail.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, yesterday the Minsk court refused to release Kolesnikova from custody. The court session was held behind closed doors.
