Zelensky meets with Zuzana Czaputova during a working visit to Slovakia

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a working visit to Slovakia, met on Thursday morning, September 24, with state leader Zuzana Chaputova.

The corresponding video was published by the press service of the Presidency on its Facebook page.

Zelensky presented a bouquet of flowers to Zuzana Chaputova, after which the solemn event was opened with the Ukrainian anthem.

The President of Ukraine was also greeted by a boy and a girl in Slovak national costumes and with bread and salt. During the ceremony, Zelensky and Chaputova were without masks, everyone else was wearing masks.

The military band performed the national anthems of Ukraine and Slovakia, after which Chaputova and Zelensky examined the formation of the soldiers of the Honor Guard. The heads of state also greeted the official delegations of the two countries.

Let us remind you that today the President of Ukraine flew to Slovakia on a working visit.

Zelensky will meet with the President of Slovakia, Prime Minister Igor Matovic and the President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Boris Kollar. He is also expected to sign a number of bilateral agreements.

In addition, we inform that the trip to Slovakia is the second foreign head of state since the beginning of the quarantine. In mid-September, Zelensky flew to Austria with his wife Elena to meet with President Alexander Van der Bellen and his wife Doris Schmidauer.
