“Dynamo’s game is not impressive right now”

Famous Ukrainian coach Oleg Fedorchuk shared his opinion on Dynamo Kiev’s victory over Gent (2: 1) in the Champions League standings.

“If we take everything that happened in the surroundings of ‘Ghent’, the image that the journalists drew was fully confirmed. There are players in good shape, there are those who stand out for their bad form. There are injuries – Yaremchuk himself entered the field. Why did you have to do this? I couldn’t help but notice the nervousness of the team. All of this is due to poor preparation for the season. We can say that in this sense, the Dynamo were lucky with the draw.

Dynamo is still lucky. In this context, one cannot fail to notice the VAR, thanks to which the Kyivans scored the first goal. If it weren’t for the VAR, there would be all the prerequisites for the ball not to count. The goal was scored absolutely according to the rules, there is no question about it, but in dynamics, the human eye can rarely fix it correctly from that angle. From the linesman position, Supryaga, in fact, blocked the opponent. The VAR “resolved” this situation.

Honestly, Dynamo’s game is not impressive right now. The team did not play a single integral game, neither in the championship, nor in the Super Cup. Yes, there are definitely changes. The psychological state has changed, Dynamo has become more relaxed, disciplined and calm. However, the quality of the game is still far from second in the group. I can’t even imagine what it should be like for the team to get past third place. But I think that now at the Dynamo they are thinking more about the bonuses they will receive if they reach the group stage, everyone knows the financial situation of the club. And there the team will fight. So far for Lucescu, everything is going as well as possible, ”said Fedorchuk.

The second leg “Dynamo” – “Gent” will take place in Kiev on Tuesday 29 September.
