Russian MP Vakha Agayev dies of coronavirus

The deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the XI and XII convocations Vakha Agayev died of complications from the coronavirus after hospitalization and coma.

Agayev, 67, is known to have served as the head of the State Duma committee on the financial market. Before his death, the politician fought for his life and spent some time in a coma, but the help of doctors did not help: the man became the first deputy who did not survive the disease.

Note that on September 15, the president of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that around 50 of the 450 deputies had had coronavirus. As of September 23, three parliamentarians were hospitalized due to a confirmed diagnosis; In total, 13 parliamentarians are in hospital to receive treatment for Covid-19.
