In Russia, 67-year-old State Duma deputy Vakha Agayev died of the coronavirus disease. On Wednesday, September 23, Yuri Afonin, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, told Interfax about this.

“This difficult news came today. Vakha Agayev, our deputy, died, he was recently being treated for coronavirus,” Afonin said.

It is noted that overall, about fifty Duma deputies are being treated for COVID-19, 13 people have been hospitalized.

According to the latest data, 1,122,241 cases of coronavirus infection have been laboratory confirmed in the Russian Federation, of which 923,699 ended in recovery and 19,799 ended in death (150 people died in the last day). Russia ranks fourth in the world for the incidence of COVID-19.
