The artillery shells were illegally removed from the battlefields in the Novoaydar region in 2014.

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine found a cache of artillery shells in the Starobelsk district of the Lugansk region. This was reported by the SBU press service.

The hideout was installed on the outskirts of the village of Ternovoye at a shallow depth in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings. According to operational information, the howitzers were illegally removed from hostilities in the Novoaydar region in 2014.

Special services operatives seized 16 152 mm caliber artillery shells with a total weight of 136 kilograms of TNT from the cache. According to preliminary data, the attackers planned to sell TNT to local criminal circles.

It was previously reported that border guards found a cache of ammunition and explosives in a dilapidated house in the town of Berdyanskoye near Mariupol.

It was also reported that employees of the Ukrainian Security Service found a cache with a large amount of ammunition in the Lugansk region.
